Our puppies come from carefully chosen combinations of generations of typical Beagles with excellent conformation who have been health tested. There is major difference in breeders who truly care about the breed and those who only focus on mass puppy production. We consider ourselves very responsible as we continuously educate ourselves, we travel abroad, study pedigrees and we have the highest standards in the care and socialization of our dogs and puppies. We take the same responsibility when selecting new homes for our puppies. A preservation breeder is a dedicated breeder who focuses on safeguarding and sustaining their chosen breed, while prioritizing typical traits, health and temperament.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ALIKISS PUPPIES
Care
Before every litter there are several years of careful planning and months of thorough preparations. Thanks to my University degree in Animal science and more than 30 years of experience, we managed to build a unique know-how ensuring the best possible care for our puppies.
Socialization
Our puppies are raised in our home as members of the family. We are very passionate about correct socialization, which includes positive introduction of experiences and environments introduced at the appropriate time and in the right way.
Health
Health is the essence of responsible breeding. We were the first in Central Europe to start genetic testing on breed specific conditions for Beagles. We cooperate with health coordinators, research teams and universities abroad while following latest trends.
Partnership
We are grateful to all the carefuly chosen new families of our puppies and the friendship that we formed. All our puppies are guaranteed our life-long support, advice and help. We also provide a forever take-back policy.

How to acquire an Alikiss puppy?
The very first step is asking yourself whether you are ready and able to take over the responsibility of caring a Beagle for the next 15 years. If your answer is yes, then please fill out our puppy questionaire. It is the best way to give us an idea of who you are and what kind of puppy best fits your lifestyle. We can then organize a personal meeting to get to know each other. We will also show you or dogs and where the puppies are raised. It is a great time to ask questions by both parties.

How much does a puppy cost?
The price of our puppies is comparable to other reputable breeders. the cost of a puppy does not even partially cover the costs involved in responsibly breeding pure bred dogs. It does not cover the time, energy and experience necessary for responsible breeding. Costs involve fees for caring, health tests, vet costs, shows, hound trials, breeding fees and years and years of experience and knowledge.

Can we get an unregistered puppy (without papers)?
No. We do not breed non-pedigree Beagles. The pedigree is sort of a birth certificate which confirms the pup's ancestors, their helath and show results. Only pure bred dogs have pedigrees. Non-pedigree Beagles often do not look like Beagles at all, they are usually much larger, without a pleasing expression and lack type. Such backyard breeders and puppy mills do not have to adhere to any regulations.

Which puppy will be ours?
Picking out the right puppy is always a dialogue. the key is to get to know you and understand what kind of puppy you are looking for. If you want to participate in sports, we will look for an active and attentive puppy. If you are interested in showing, we will look for a puppy with the best conformation. My advice is never pick a puppy based on its markings, always go for personality and temperament.

What all is included?
All puppies are handed over in an excellent condition, healthy and well socialized. The are microchipped, vaccinated and wormed. They have a pet passport, a pedigree issued by the Czech Kennel club (member of the FCI), a sales contract and a life-long guarantee for genetic conditions. All puppies are provided non-stop consultatlions and take back policy. All puppies leave with their favourite toy, a mommy-blanket and the food they were raised on.

Do we have to show?
Absolutely not! Beagles need a loving home, a comfy bed, long walks and a fully tummy. Dog shows are not a necesity at all. If it is something that interests you, we will be happy to support you and prepare you but we will definitely not force you to show!
